Bio
Art is simply noticing. And we all notice. The question becomes how do we express our noticing for deeper connection and resounding impact throughout our communities and the world?
I’m a Montessori kid who grew up ice skating the ponds just out our backdoor in Michigan. My Mom new I needed to keep my hands busy and creating so there was never a shortage of colors and papers around me.
I attended Kalamazoo College and even though I majored in sociology and anthropology, I spent most of my time in the darkroom or ceramic studio.
In 2007, I studied abroad in Kolkata, India and for the first time, my interest in culture met my love for creativity. My relationship to both deepened and I’ve never turned back. Since then, I've lived in Japan, New Mexico and I now reside in Berlin, Germany.
Much of my art is what I call narrative documentation. Looking for stories in the places I explore, to also uncover the stories within myself and those that bind us together and create our deepest sense of belonging.
I continue to travel and create through various illustration, photography and entrepreneurial experiential projects.
